BOTUNGA

“Each child has the power to turn the desert into a forest”

My first children book BOTUNGA takes the reader on an adventure trip to Africa,
where courageous children are on a mission to save their village Botunga and a special giant tree from a severe drought.

It was written with the intention to encourage the next generation to protect nature and find creative solutions for environmental pollution.

The idea for the story came two years ago when I iniciated the "Strong Roots Project"
and invited a group of friends to share workshops at a school in Ghana.

The book with its 56 colourful pages is suitable for children from around 6 years,
but also inspires teens and adults with its vibrant paintings and motivating message.

I wishes to be able to share the book in Westafrica in the context of further school workshops,
spreading hope and solutions for a better future.

A current Crowdfunding Campaign is the hopefully going to be the key to open the door of my dream of returning to Africa
in order to exchange knowledge and share Botunga with children in drought affected areas.
At the moment supporting my Campaign is also the only possibility to get the book!

In spring 2022 Botunga won the “Austrian DIXI Youth Literature Prize” in the category Illustration.
